Black Ops Cold War's rendition of the timeless classic Nuketown has been regarded as one of the best versions of the map since the original released ten years ago.

Nuketown has had five remakes in its tenure as one of Treyarch's trademark stamps on Call of Duty, including a post-apocalyptic zombies map. With the release of Nuketown '84, the bones were stripped bare and the raw fundamentals of the map surfaced, leaving fans overjoyed. It comes as players have felt a lust for new and exciting maps following the developers' decision to only release eight original maps upon release.

The likes of Miami and Satellite have come under criticism from the fan base, who desperately desired more variety from Black Ops Cold War, and heading into Season 1, more content has been rumoured, alongside a Christmas decking across the hippyville Nuketown.

The Christmas theme was leaked early through an in-game bug that caused the halls to be illuminated with festive sparkles and glistening baubles.

The leaked footage of Christmas Nuketown '84 also suggests that a range of new game modes could be on its way, with some images showing the map at night time. Blacked out maps were one of Modern Warfare's most intriguing features, which plunged the game into twilight and focused on the use of night-vision goggles and muzzle flashes. With the likes of barebones game modes returning, these leaks also hint towards Treyarch adopting this theme too.

With Season 1 coming to Black Ops Cold War in a weeks' time, the mannequins of Nuketown appear to have put down their graffiti spray paint and grabbed the tinsel to spread the Christmas joy.
