According to journalist, Jarek 'Dekay' Lewis, North is in discussions to sign Jonas 'Lekr0' Olofsson to their Counter Strike: Global Offensive roster.

Lekr0, who plays for Ninjas in Pyjamas, has been rumoured to have been on his way out of NiP in recent weeks, with MAD Lions being the first club to express their interest, however, a move fell through when an agreement couldn't be stricken between both parties. Now North has opened discussions about signing the Swedish 27-year-old.

Ninjas in Pyjamas made Lekr0 an inactive part of their roster after signing Tim 'nawwk' Jonasson in May, after a dismal 2019 and start to 2020. After just one second-place finish in an S-Tier/A-Tier event since the start of 2019, and five third-place finishes, a change was inevitable to attempt to revive their success, and Lekr0 was the man to be swapped out.

North has had some success in recent times, winning the DreamHack Open Seville in December 2019, but have also struggled to make their mark in 2020, and Lekr0 could very well be the answer, joining the Scandinavian roster.

Currently, North is one place away from qualifying for the next Valve sponsored Major tournament, through the Road to Rio standings. With the roster lock in looming, it is expected that the may fall down by another place before then.

North has recently been competing with Kristoffer "kristou" Aamand, who had come on loan from AGF Esport, which concluded as of July 2. To add to North's woes, Markus 'Kjærbye' Kjærbye made his exit from the organisation after over two years on July 10, leaving North with just four players and their coach.

With hopes of breaking back into the top bracket of European CS:GO sides, North and Lekr0 could make a match made in heaven, should a deal come off.
