Nintendo Switch Pro Reveal Date Potentially Revealed By Insider
The Nintendo Switch Pro has been a presence that has loomed over Nintendo fans for some time now, as something we know is on the way, but can’t predict when. It’s an inevitability, but with every passing day of its presence in the collective Nintendo fan conscience, the more we want it. Fans have speculated that the reveal of the new superpowered Switch will come either during E3 (as it’s a big announcement) or before E3 (to keep the presentation from bogging itself down in hardware talk), so there’s a lot of wiggle-room - but an industry insider might have offered us a little more insight into when a reveal is coming.
Switch Pro Reveal Date Leaked By Insider
Nick Baker, an insider for the industry who’s proven himself as rather reliable in recent months (and who is known online as Shpeshal_Nick), has suggested on Twitter he thinks he knows when we’re likely to see the first of the Switch Pro. Tweeting yesterday (May 31), he said: ‘At the moment, I’m told the Super Nintendo Switch (that’s what I want the name to be damn it) Direct/ Mini Direct/ Announcement is scheduled for Thursday. But it’s been pushed before, could be again.’
This isn’t the first time that Nick has been enthusiastic about the prospective name of the upgraded console; earlier this year in February he tweeted Nintendo with a mock-up of a logo for the Super Nintendo Switch, featuring the iconic Switch logo paired with typography reminiscent of the SNES.
It’s unknown as to how the console will be revealed, as the tweet suggests many methods of delivering the news, but it looks like Thursday could be the day. Either way, we’ll be glad to see the official reveal of the console, and watch as the dream many fans have had for the future of the Switch truly come to life.
