Ninja Gets Kidnapped And Calls It 'The Coolest S**t' He's Ever Seen
Just like many other top-calibre streamers, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins has turned to Apex Legends in the latest saga of Battle Royale titles that have stepped into the limelight. The streamer, prominent for dominating the streaming and content sides of Fortnite and H1Z1, has been grinding through the ranks and have been slowly getting to grips with the large range of abilities and mechanics.
However, during an Apex Legends ranked match, Ninja was kidnapped, yet his reaction was not what we expected.
The cobalt-haired high-octane streamer was competing in a Diamond lobby, following the soft rank reset that came with the mid-season update, and fell victim to the sneaky tactic that is 'kidnapping'.
The technique revolves around the voidwalker legend, Wraith, who uses her Dimensional Rift portal ability and the Into the Void tactical to effectively capture an enemy, isolating one legend and sending them into an impossible 1v2 situation against Wraith's teammates.
Kidnapping in Apex is one of the more difficult mechanics to execute, with the probability that Wraith may not make it back into her portal being quite high - but when performed properly, it's a method of madness that reaps great rewards.
Ninja Gets Kidnapped On Apex Legends
During a Diamond lobby match on Worlds Edge, Ninja was poised in a top-two position, with his opponents taking the high ground at Landslide. With two decent shots onto Ninja's team, the Wraith descended from their platform to perform a kidnapping and managed to swoop Ninja himself.
Realising what was happening, the streamer said, "I just go f**king destroyed, they sniped me. That was the coolest s**t I've ever seen." As Ninja's Seer was turned into a deathbox, he simply told his teammates "I got Kidnapped," as the enemy trio began their assault with a player advantage.
Fans Praise Ninja's Maturity After Respecting Apex Legends kidnapping Play
Known for being a theatrical streamer full of antics and reactions, many fans actually praised Ninja for admitting that the move was cool, rather than screaming the house down.
One Reddit user said: "He passed the vibe check," while another admitted: "The best thing about this for me was his reaction. Not even a hint of salt or s**tty attitude at being outplayed!"
