Warzone's insane gunsmithing options and constant updates mean that weapons often rise from the depths of the archives to rule Verdansk, just as they did this time last year.

The Modern Warfare weapons have now begun to see some more joy, after being eclipsed by the Black Ops Cold War variants during the three-way integration. First, the MP5 and Kar98k ran supreme, and now it appears that one of the most prominent weapons ever is back again.

Welcome to Grauzone V2. According to popular Call of Duty streamers, such as James "JGOD" and Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff, the Grau Assault Rifle is one of the most deadly forces in Warzone Season 3.

The build that NICKMERCS uses is one that ignores the different iron sights, with the streamer opting for an optic to ensure accuracy. He describes the weapon as "definitely viable, definitely great," as well as the Kilo 141, when discussing the Modern Warfare ARs.

He continued to say, "The M4 sucks at the moment," although he doesn't draw any comparison to the Krig-6 which appears to be the most in-form weapon right now. NICKMERCS' Grau Warzone loadout attachments are as follows:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Tempus 26.2″ Archangel
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mags

The weapon opts for the longer barrel, in the Tempus 26.2" Archangel, and is tamed by a VLK 3.0x optic, allowing the Grau to burn through players' armour and health bars from virtually any distance. The 60-round mags are also a popular choice, despite losing some ADS speed, taking the Grau from a gentle adolescent to a fully-fledged beast.

Is The Grau The Best Warzone Assault Rifle?

There are many to choose from in the current Warzone meta, although in some situations, the Grau definitely is the best Assualt Rifle in Season 3. In terms of long-distance accuracy, it reigns supreme, although its damage falloff is bettered by the likes of the Krig-6 and the AMAX.

Overall, the Grau may not suit a run-and-gun stylistic, but for a more reserved player, the Grau could be the best Warzone Assault Rifle in Season 3, especially with NICKMERCS' build.
