The Vanguard bugs just won't stop, as players have already found an exploit that makes them nearly invincible in multiplayer.

What Is The Vanguard Invincibility Exploit?

Much of the equipment and perks in Call of Duty: Vanguard aren't exactly working as intended yet. Firstly, players complained of the audio levels of guns, of which some were unintentionally silent. Then there was the Ninja perk, which made some operators Sam Fisher-levels of quiet. Now, we have the Armour Plates Field Upgrade, which is facing flak for making players nearly invincible. You've only had three years and an endless budget to get it right, Sledgehammer!

Warzone players will be used to armouring up on the frequent, and now Vanguard players can try it with the Armour Plates. It's a field upgrade that increases your player's health, making you a little tankier, with the tradeoff being a very slow recharge rate for more armour. Somehow, players have been spawning with nearly unlimited armour, turning them into walking tanks in the multiplayer mode. And it's frustrating everyone else.

What Have Players Been Saying About The Glitch?

Plenty of users on Twitter and the Call of Duty subreddit have been voicing their displeasure at coming across the exploit, with one user even documenting it, which can be seen below.

Even those in the esports world have caught on and are confused about the glitch, including former World Champion COD player Jordan Kaplan, and the Head Coach of Minnesota ROKKR, who Tweeted: “Is there a glitch with the armor plates in this game? I just played a game where I was putting an entire clip in people from behind and not even breaking the plates.”

Paired with the current complaints about the game's time-to-kill and the spawns, it's quite a dire glitch for multiplayer and can very quickly ruin a game, especially if multiple players perform the exploit. At the moment, neither Sledgehammer nor Activision have commented  on the bug, but we can only assume that they have noticed and are working on a quick fix.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and select PC storefronts. You can check out our reviews for the single player campaign and the multiplayer modes too.
