New Pokemon Games Might Need A Day One Patch To Include Proper Music
The music of the Pokemon franchise has been long adored. Whether it’s the chipper chiptune of wandering into a Pokemon Center or the eerie soundscapes of Lavender Town, the sounds of the series have been guiding it ever since day one.
There’s a reason it’s so universally beloved, and fans are still excited to hear what treats await them in each new instalment of the series.
But, when it comes to the upcoming titles, there might be some troubles when it comes to music.
Upcoming Pokemon Games Might Not Have Proper Music At Launch
As will be incredibly disappointing to many fans, the upcoming Pokemon remakes Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl might not be launching with the music they’re supposed to.
It has been recognised by Pokemon YouTuber Lewtwo that the soundtrack from released footage of the games are very basic MIDI forms of the music, with some of the trumpets being the exact same samples that appear when first opening the original game’s MIDI soundtrack. It gives the impression that, provided that this isn’t the final cut of the music, that it’s still unfinished.
This is poor form from a series that has music as iconic as it does - and the unfinished music could lead to a bit of a crunch before launch.
Pokemon Diamond And Pearl Remakes Might Have Day One Patches
As a result of this revelation, it has been noted that a day one patch for this problem is likely.
This has been suggested by popular Pokemon leaker CentroLeaks, stating that the development of the remake titles wasn’t easy, and that a day one patch is going to be ‘required’.
It’s a shame that the game likely won’t come packaged with finished music, but as long as the patch can launch on day one at the latest, they’ll get away with escaping backlash for it. Here’s hoping that the music of the game isn’t damaged in the process of development - because something tells us the fans won’t let them live it down.
