The Call of Duty League is currently in a state of limbo and suspense, as all eyes are poised towards Hector "H3CZ" Roriguez, Chicago Huntsmen, and OpTic Gaming. H3CZ has recently been reported to have reacquired the organisation that he built from the ground, OpTic Gaming, reigniting the Green Wall.

With this, the NRG Co-CEO has apparently applied for OpTic Gaming Los Angeles' position in the Call of Duty League to be divested to another organisation, who will likely buy the spot and subsequently the roster of TjHaly, Drazah, Kuavo, and Slasher.

Should H3CZ's application for the spot to be divested be accepted, this would mean there is one space in next years' Call of Duty League open for organisations. Many fans have now looked in two directions, as some huge names could be on their way to the CDL. One option, and the most popular choice for the fanbase, would be to see Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag's 100 Thieves return, as the LA Thieves. Nadeshot himself has now started to ramp up the speculation, with some cryptic posts on social media.

Nade posted a picture of himself posing with his two Call of Duty World League 2019 championship trophies.

His roster, that coincidentally featured OpTic Gaming Los Angeles' Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat, won CWL Anaheim and London 2019, before falling just short of being World Champions. They finished in second place at Worlds, losing a sudden-death Search and Destroy versus eUnited in the final. This was their last game in competitive Call of Duty, as Nadeshot pulled the organisation from the newly formed franchise league, due to the substantial buy-in fees.

Nadeshot also posted a throwback picture with himself, DrDisrespect, and HECZ, the three men that could acquire the final spot.

Showing his friendship with Hector, Nadeshot could get first dibs on the spot, before it is opened to the world.

One further person that could be in the mix is DrDisrespect himself, who has hinted at creating a team called "San Diego Speed".

Most fans would prefer Nadeshot, once the face of Call of Duty, to return to the league, rekindling the love story between Nade and COD. Original OpTic Gaming Green Wall fans would love to see him finally win a World Championship, even as an owner.
