MuTeX Gives Warzone A Month Before It 'Dies'
Despite being one of the largest Warzone content creators, Charlie "MuTeX" Saouma has given the Call of Duty battle royale just one month to live unless the developers sort out one major problem.
With a Call of Duty career that stems back to 2015, MuTeX has come a long way since his days of being an analyst for professional Search and Destroy games. The Canadian has since been a substitute for the Dallas Empire before becoming a full-time content creator, now sitting at 688,000 followers on Twitch and has numerous Warzone gold medals under his belt.
However, he now fears for the popular BR, as Activision has still not solved the problem around hackers.
MuTeX Hits Warzone With Ultimatum Before It 'Dies'
With fewer blanket bans appearing, and no signs of an anti-cheat software coming in the coming months, MuTeX has given Warzone one month before it dies.
Taking to Twitter, the streamer said "Warzone will die in a month," before adding "if the hacker situation doesn’t get fixed…"
Activision's lack of action on hackers has been driving players away for weeks, and it appears many more, including MuTeX, could follow suit.
Will Warzone Die?
The lack of anti-cheat software has probed many of the biggest streamers in Warzone to ditch the Call of Duty BR for other like-minded titles.
Recently, Jack "CouRage" Dunlop has been an advocate of Apex Legends, even bringing across the meddlesome trio of Dennis "Cloakzy" Lapore, Tim "TimTheTatman" John Betar, and Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff. With fewer eyes on Warzone, it could potentially suffer the same fate as Fortnite did, before steadily rebuilding its fanbase.
A further threat is posed by both Battlefield 2024 and Halo Infinite. The former of the two has already confirmed a battle royale to rival Warzone, and Halo has been heavily rumoured to be considering the same.
Both titles are set to launch in the latter stages of 2021, meaning MuTeX's one-month conundrum could be extended for a few more unless Activision put together a plan before its competitor's launch.
