After nearly two years in the scene, Mousesports have announced the departure of their Rocket League roster.

When they joined the scene back in 2018, Mouz signed a roster that many had predicted to relegate consisting of Alex161, Skyline and Tigreee. Two clutch wins at the start of Season 6 League Play was enough to secure their spot for a second season, but once al0t joined in place of Skyline it wasn’t long before the trio was relegated to the Rival Series. Following that trio’s disbanding, al0t found himself on The Bricks alongside the legendary kuxir97 and hotshot Speed. The German organisation snapped up this new-look lineup and were well on their way to the World Championship before a disastrous Regional Final showing left the squad in tatters as they lost two straight series to miss out on a trip to Madrid.

Although many expected the roster to stick together for another season, plans changed once former World Champion Scrub Killa became available. The Scot was brought on in place of al0t, but it never really seemed like this roster had gelled as well as the previous lineup. Things almost fell apart for Mouz when Scrub left the org midway through the season, forcing Italian substitute arju to take his place. However, arju stepped up to the plate superbly, helping mousesports to their first top-four finish at the Regional Championship and securing an invite to the Spring Series. Unfortunately for the super-sub, once the Spring Series came and went, it became apparent that he wouldn’t be keeping his newfound spot as Mouz was knocked out in 5-6th place.

With fruity now seemingly taking arju’s place for the foreseeable future and a strong start to the off-season in the Eurocup, the future remains bright for the former mousesports roster. However, as their search for a new home begins, that search seems to be riding on the new RLCS format’s announcement at the end of the month.
