Monster Harvest Is The Perfect Combo Of Pokemon And Stardew Valley
It's Planimal time! Monster Harvest is the latest offering from indie publisher Merge Games (Dead Cells, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX) and invites you to cultivate, collect, and battle with your very own monsters!
Combining the relaxing farming gameplay of Stardew Valley with the collecting and battling fun of Pokemon, Monster Harvest "is a monster collecting and farming action RPG with a twist." Merge Games explains their upcoming title as "grow, collect and mutate your crops then take them into battle! Filled with places to discover and multiple ways to build your farm, get ready to craft, explore and battle across the vibrant world of Planimal Point."
Instead of traversing the land to find and catch your monsters (or Planimals, as Monster Harvest calls them), a la Pokemon, you can grow your very own pocket pals in your garden, mutating them with special magical slimes (up to 72 variations to discover), and train them up.
A unique feature of Monster Harvest is the weather, including three unique seasons: Dry, Wet, and Dark. These seasonal shifts change what the player can grow, with striking results.
Tend crops, explore the world, mingle with the locals, complete side quests, and more. There are also various shops to visit in town, dangerous caves to spelunk, and colourful characters to meet along the way.

The crux of the 2D RPG is taking down the evil SlimeCo, along with your loyal companions.
The main selling point of the game is just how utterly adorable it is, whether you're exploring, crafting, or just hanging out with your cute little crops.
Start your adventure in Planimal Point on May 13, when Monster Harvest is released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
