Minnesota RØKKR Confirm Roster Will Stick Together For CDL 2022
Minnesota RØKKR has confirmed that their roster from the Black Ops Cold War era will be sticking together going into the new season on Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The roster of Dillon "Attach" Price, Michael "MajorManiak" Szymaniak, Preston "Priestahh" Greiner, and Eli "Standy" Bentz will be continuing to build on their late-season form going into a new year, and remain under the guidance of Head Coach Brain "Saintt" Baroska.
RØKKR are expected to be just one of three teams that will keep their roster as a barrage of transfers have already been made, and continue to unfold. Their Stage 5 Major Championship win was just one example of why many expected this structured yet flamboyant composition to stick, especially after making two mid-season changes which only improved their quality.
Speaking in a press conference, Saintt said "It feels really good to go into another year with the same roster, it's pretty rare in Call of Duty.
"I feel like there's a lot of roster changes in CoD as people are looking for success right off the bat. We had a long grind-y season [last year] and we persevered through a lot of ups and downs, and seeing how the team dealt with the lows was everything you want to see as a coach.
"It feels good to be with everyone again."
From the early Vanguard footage, the team also backed themselves to be solid contenders come the start of the season - as long as they nail their fundamentals on respawn.
Attach also commented on the roster going into the Vanguard season, saying "If we have a consistent respawn mode throughout the year we can definitely win multiple events because our SnD is always going to be great."
As to which respawn game mode RØKKR could take advantage of, it's yet to be seen what will be accompanying Hardpoint. With a range of options such as Control, Domination, Blitz, Capture The Flag, and even a newly-trialled Vanguard exclusive 'Patrol', RØKKR have eyed either Control or CTF, rather than the "boring" Domination.
RØKKR now become the second team to solidify their 2022 roster, following Los Angeles Guerrillas' upgrade reveal earlier this week.
