Megan Thee Stallion Wants A Warzone Skin

Call of Duty is beginning to learn some lessons from Fortnite when it comes to cosmetics, it would seem. When it comes to battle royale titles like Warzone, many aren’t going into it for a purely narrative experience, so it’s no shock when the cosmetics start to get a little silly.

Fortnite has IP capital in the gaming world, using characters from the worlds of Marvel and DC to bolster their game, while Warzone has steered into the aesthetics of ‘80s action heroes and brought characters from Rambo and Die Hard into Verdansk.

But now, if they’re willing to expand even further into the strange, one rapper would quite like to get in on the action.

After responding to a clip of rapper Megan Thee Stallion freestyling on Twitter (it’s not as weird as it sounds - Megan name-drops the Gulag in the track), the official Call of Duty account opened pandora’s box and is now dealing with swathes of stans online.

After quote tweeting the freestyle, Megan herself then quote tweeted Call of Duty saying “We need a hot girl skin ASAP”. Chaos ensued.

It’d be smart of Call of Duty to get a little sillier with its cosmetic choices - and it seems like the waves of fans in the game’s mentions agree.

Some Megan Thee Stallion fans think a Megan skin would make them convert to the game from never having played it before. In fact, fans are getting… intense about it.

It might seem like a left-field choice for a cosmetic in Warzone - but why not go nuts? Fortnite already has Marshmello and J Balvin, so why shouldn’t the battle royale genre induct Megan Thee Stallion into its ranks?

Now that the suggestion is there, we’re going to be sorely disappointed if Call of Duty doesn’t come through with the skin. We’ll be waiting patiently, Raven.
