MattHDGamer Reveals Big Changes To FIFA 21 Shooting
The FIFA 21 Beta has been played by a wave of players now, and as the embargo has been lifted from showcasing the first glimpses of the next instalment, popular YouTubers have rushed to share the news with their audiences. One being Matthew "MattHDGamer" Craig, who has claimed that the shooting mechanics have been revamped, and feels similar to Fifa 17.
In his recent YouTube upload, MattHDGamer showcased the new Ultimate Team Gameplay, boasting a front three of Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi. Although the front three are naturally insane, Matt noticed that their shooting had vastly improved, due to big changes from previous years.
FIFA 20 saw a new style of shooting be implemented, and since, EA developers have confirmed that shooting improvements were on their way. Matt explained the changes in his video, stating that "One feature has been improved that you guys may be surprised about, might not have known about, but finesse shots definitely felt a lot more realistic and also, in general, quite powerful. Some of the finesse shots I was scoring guys, especially 20-25 yards out, even with players like the base Martial card".
"The finesse shots were really good. They've definitely improved this FIFA and I think that's a good thing to be fair." Stated Matt.
Finesse shots have been one of the more neglected mechanics in recent years, especially from range. Considering that FIFA aims for realistic gameplay, many fans have been confused about this, as they are often used by professionals, bending the ball from outside the far post into the top corners, leaving goalkeepers helpless. They were overpowered back in FIFA 17, and it looks like we might be heading down a similar, but more well-rounded, gameplay this year.
Upon the game being released later this year, make sure you're showing players down the wing, as allowing players to cut in from out wide will undoubtedly come with catastrophic results.
