Massive GTA Online Update Gets July Release Tease
You'd think that fans would be sat twiddling their thumbs in the long and excruciating wait for GTA 6, but they're actually still turning out in droves for GTA Online. The online Grand Theft Auto game has been running for almost a decade and, somehow, fans haven't had enough of the online element of the 2013 icon.
It has proven the longevity of the franchise tenfold, and the fact that GTA Online keeps rolling with new players and huge revenue every day is proof that a time when GTA isn't hugely popular is becoming more impossible by the day. And now, more content is yet to come - and it could be coming very soon indeed.
Is GTA Online Getting A Big Update?
Rumours of a huge new update coming to GTA Online have been swirling for some time now, with many players clocking that GTA is getting much more love than Red Dead Online. Still, we're hoping for even more to fill the wait until GTA 6.
It has been suggested that Michael De Santa from the GTA V story could be making an appearance alongside some huge narrative swings. Remember when Heists reinvented GTA Online back in 2015? Now, one insider has suggested that the update is coming this month to overhaul GTA Online once again.
Insider Tez2 has come to Twitter to reveal that something big could be on the way for GTA Online on July 19. Who knows what this could be, but fans are already getting excited as they throw around their own theories. Also, what about those rumours of a huge GTA 4 expansion that will bring Liberty City to the game?
What's Coming To GTA Online On July 19?
There's a lot to be said about what's to come to GTA Online, and we don't actually know anything for certain - but rumour has it that this new update is one of the biggest that the game has had in some time. If that ends up being the case and Michael of Liberty City is coming to the game at all, it'll likely be now.
Still, we're just going to have to wait and see for any confirmation. GTA V is the most profitable entertainment product of all time, and for years, that success has been down to GTA Online's impact. Regardless of what the content itself actually is, at least it's better than any support that Red Dead Online has had since its launch. Poor sausages.
