World Champion status comes with a hefty sum of prize money in esports. Whether it's Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), or League of Legends, the winners of the World Championships are awarded lucrative amounts of money on top of the trophy that they've spent all year grinding towards.

When it comes to the prize money, many like to blow off some steam and take vacations or do extraordinary experiences that usually they wouldn't do, especially with the season being concluded and the offseason commencing. However, League of Legends World Championship winner Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee opted for a very different method of celebrating.

BeryL is a part of the DAMWON Gaming side that went undefeated in the World Championships to take down Chinese side Suning in the final 3-1. The Support main is one of the most calculated and efficient players in the world, often tanking damage for his teammates before the deadly duo of Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu and Heo "ShowMaker" Su come in to clean up the kills. After conquering League of Legends with DAMWON, BeryL has headed over to Genshin Impact to spend his money on making one of the deadliest teams on there too.

BeryL poured over 7.7million Korean Won (approximately $6,880) into the game during the World Championship series and afterwards, in an attempt to build a fearsome side to take on his opponents.

His team is now stacked with the likes of Diluc, Qiqi, Fischl, and Vista, all of which are some of the most fearsome characters in the game.

The World Champion also popped by his fan community in the popular game Princess Connect Re:Drive, where he posted "Kyaru Gallery, fighting!" just moments after getting his hands on the League of Legends trophy.

Not a bad way to start spending the sum of winnings that is suspected to be north of $1million.
