With every patch or update implemented into Fortnite: Battle Royale, comes a plethora of new, unreleased cosmetics. It has become a tradition that leakers enter the game files following each patch in search of new skins and items. This is called “data mining”.

In this article, we will provide you with all of the data mined cosmetics found in Patch v14 40 - Fortnitemares edition.

Most of these cosmetics will be released in the shop for purchase via V-Bucks. However, sometimes these cosmetics are available through non-traditional methods. For example, the Galaxy skin was only obtainable for a limited time with the purchase of certain Samsung Galaxy devices. We have seen this sort of promotion with items such as the Minty Pickaxe, the Honor Guard skin, and the Ikonik bundle. Fortnite has also started releasing cosmetics only available through competitive play, such as the Komplex skin and the Axe of Champions.

Remember, these are just the skins and cosmetics found in the most recent patch. Check out the links below if you are looking for more unreleased skins along with gameplay footage. Also, we compiled a list of Fortnite cosmetics that have been sent to the vault, never to be released.

Leaked Skins/Outfits

Halloween is one of the most anticipated times of the year in the gaming world. Every major game releases its special seasonal updates filled with limited-time modes (LTMs), decorations, and most importantly, cosmetics. Fortnite is no stranger to this with their annual Fortnitemares update. This year, anticipation was high — and Epic Games did not disappoint.

This year’s update revolves around the Revenge of Midas. Midas has returned from the grave with aspirations of haunting the Fortnite island. With him, comes a whole batch of spooky-themed cosmetics.

In the skins category, we have your typical jack-o’-lanterns, skeletons, witches, and demons.

Leaked Back Blings

From top left to right, we have the standard back blings that accompany some of the skins pictured above.

The black and white skeleton-themed back blings are part of a new bundle called the Skull Squad. Four classic skins were revamped in the style of the OG Skull Trooper. We’ll get into the skins in a bit, but these are the attached back blings.

The psychotic-looking monkey in the bottom right is a back bling called Bobo. This back bling is a free reward from completing specific Fortnitemares challenges.

Leaked Styles and Variants

It’s become standard practice that Fortnite devs revamp older skins with new styles and variants. In this update, Boxer, Boxy, Bushranger, and Jack Gourdon received new style options.

Jack Gourdon was blessed with two golden variants, and Bushranger’s back bling got an autumn style too. The attention to detail is impressive. Bushranger’s autumn variant has fewer leaves, an ode to the fall season.

Ghostbusters Bundle

Fortnite is back with another collab. Fortnite is partnering up with the Ghostbusters team at quite the appropriate time. Ghosts and Shadows are on the loose, and no one is better equipped than the Ghostbusters to take them down.

There are actually ten Ghostbusters skins in total. Players can choose from an array of five male variants and five female variants. Alternatively, players can buy all five variants of each gender for a set price.

Skull Squad Bundle

As we touched on above, one of the big additions to Patch v14.40 is the Skull Squad bundle. This bundle is loaded with all kinds of skull-themed cosmetics. The full pack includes:

  • Fishskull Outfit
  • Bait Bones Pickaxe
  • Skull Squad Leader Outfit
  • Cuddly Bones Back Bling
  • Bone Boss Outfit
  • Creep Fried Back Bling
  • Beef Bone Pickaxe
  • Bone Ravage Outfit
  • Bone Wings Back Bling
  • Skelly Sailer Glider
  • Bony Wrap

As you can see, the value is there. Players get four skins, three back blings, two pickaxes, a glider, and a wrap - all for just $20.

Leaked Pickaxes

Players have a nice variety of two-hand and dual-wield pickaxes to choose from. Nothing too notable here, just your typical Halloween-themed designs.

The skeleton pickaxes are part of the Skull Squad bundle. The hammer dripping orange liquid is named the Smash O’Lantern. This is another free reward gifted to players that complete Fortnitemares challenges.

Leaked Gliders

Patch v.14.40 is lacking in the gliders department. Baba Yaga, the witch skin, pairs with the left-most glider. It is truly a unique design, looking like a creepy hut with hawk talons attached. The simple skull glider is, of course, part of the Skull Squad bundle. Finally, the Witch Broom is a new limited-time item. Players can grab these from around the map and use them to soar up into the sky and redeploy like something out of Harry Potter.

Leaked Emotes, Sprays, and Emoticons

The Have a Seat emote has some competition. Patch v14.40 delivers a new twist on this popular emote. The emote titled Pickin’ has players sit in a rocking chair and whipping out a banjo.

The middle emote is another take on the classic zombie walk. The final emote is exclusive to the Good Doctor skin. The Good Doctor is a take on the legendary Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde fairytale. The emote features the Good Doctor sipping on his “Morph Juice”. As the name suggests, the concoction turns the Good Doctor into a monster. Players can use either style throughout the game.

Check out the video below for exclusive in-game footage of the new emotes:

Leaked Wraps, Music Packs, and Loading Screens

The Patch v.14.40 leaks finish up with some frightening wraps, loading screens, and music packs.

The most notable part of this section is the top middle wrap. Wrath’s Wrath is a wrap unlocked via a mysterious code only discoverable via Fortnite Creative mode. Players can play four Fortnitemares-inspired islands in an attempt to solve different puzzles that will reveal the code.

Thankfully, a few dedicated players have already figured out the puzzle for us. Players can submit the code AU9NJ-BLVHV-TCLJS-54YTB to receive the Wrath’s Wrath wrap for free.

There you have it—every single cosmetic found in the Patch v14.40 game files. There are no further details on these items. They could enter the shop tonight, in a week, or many months from now. Regardless, make sure you have your V-Bucks on deck for when these fresh new items finally hit the shop.
