With every patch or update implemented into Fortnite: Battle Royale, comes a plethora of new, unreleased cosmetics. It has become a tradition that leakers enter the game files following each patch in search of new skins and items. This is called “data mining”.

In this article, we will provide you with all of the data mined cosmetics found in Fortnite Patch v13 40.

Most of these cosmetics will be released in the shop for purchase via V-Bucks. However, sometimes these cosmetics are available through non-traditional methods. For example, the Galaxy skin was only obtainable for a limited time with the purchase of certain Samsung Galaxy devices. We have seen this sort of promotion with items such as the Minty Pickaxe, the Honor Guard skin, and the Ikonik bundle. Fortnite has also started releasing cosmetics only available through competitive play, such as the Komplex skin and the Axe of Champions.

Remember, these are just the skins and cosmetics found in the most recent patch. Check out the links below if you are looking for more unreleased skins along with gameplay footage. Also, we compiled a list of Fortnite cosmetics that have been sent to the vault, never to be released.

Leaked Skins/Outfits

Patch v13.40 has a little bit of everything. The first thing one may notice is the addition of multiple anthropomorphic skins. Epic Games appears to be stepping outside their comfort zone and adding more playable creatures and animals, like Fishstick.

Mecha Team will join the popular Shadow Series and will receive an all-black makeover. Jonesy will get yet another personalised skin. This news may irk some Jonsey fans, as Dad Bod Jonsey and Agent Jonsey are still nowhere to be found.

Leaked Back Blings

For the most part, v13.40’s back blings are standard. The majority of the back blings belong to one of the skin sets listed above. However, there are some standouts.

Coral Cowl will have players buying its skin just for the back bling. Capes are popular, and this one looks to have animation attached to it. The “TBD” back bling is interesting. We guess that it’ll be like the Banner skins of the past. Players will be able to adjust the flag’s colour and Banner to their liking. The result - a completely personalised back bling.

Leaked Pickaxes/Gliders

Epic Games heard our criticism from last week regarding the lack of unique and exciting gliders/pickaxes. We guess they were just saving them all for Patch v13.40! This week’s patch has something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of two-hand pickaxes or dual-wield ones, it is here.

The Hulk Smashers will be the first pickaxe of its kind. Players will don two fists and literally smash materials to harvest them. Pickaxes overshadow gliders in this patch but keep a lookout for Sky Ray and Starcross. Both of these gliders look to be one-of-a-kind.

Leaked Emotes

Four brand-new emotes will drop with Patch v13.40. These range from basic emotes to more complicated transversal ones.

Check out the video below for exclusive in-game footage of the new emotes.

Leaked Wraps, Music Packs, and Loading Screens

Lastly, we have new Wraps, Music Packs, and Loading Screens. Patch 13.40 will bring four new weapon/vehicle Wraps. These range in style from rainbows to monochromatic looks. All four will be reactive.

As for music, we have a pack based off of the popular Switch Up dance. The Metal Team Leader squad will get their own loading screen based on a Save the World achievement.

There you have it—every single cosmetic found in the Patch v13.40 game files. There are no further details on these items. They could enter the shop tonight, in a week, or many months from now. Regardless, make sure you have your V-Bucks on deck for when these fresh new items finally hit the shop.
