After facing delays due to COVID-19, League Of Legends: Wild Rift open beta will finally be available in Europe from December 10. As well as Europe, the game's open launch beta will also be available in the Middle East & North Africa, Russia & CIS and Turkey.

Players from Oceania, Taiwan and Vietnam will get access a bit earlier, on December 7, so there's plenty of time to apply to be one of the first to enjoy the game before it launches on iOS and Android.

Worldwide, the game's beta has already been making waves, and at the same time as the European launch, a new content patch will be rolled out. This will be filled with several new champions, exciting skins and player-requested features. Bugfixes and balance adjustments have also been made to the game, and more information about the patch will be coming at the beginning of December.

Riot has confirmed its intentions to make the game available in all regions, meaning we expect the Americas will oin the Open Beta by 2021.

Wild Rift was officially due to land in 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic the development was hit with complications, resulting in the later time period of release. At the time, Riot apologised for the delays, saying that the pandemic has reportedly left some of the team "grounded and unable to travel", while COVID-19 has also caused other "technical constraints and complicated each region’s own unique set of challenges and requirements".

It was also confirmed at the Apple Event in October that League of Legends: Wild Rift would be playable on the new iPhone 12. Apple and Riot Games revealed some features will aid the iPhone 12 in elevating the game’s experience, such as the 5G technology and the 14 Bionic chip. Battery life is believed to have been extended to stop any pesky interruptions to gameplay - which is a feature needed by all gamers.
