Au reviour, auf weidersehn, bon voyage, sayonara, goodbye, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Or do, stim glitch, we really don't care now that you're gone.

The annoying and pestering resurfacing of Call of Duty: Warzone's dirtiest manipulation may have finally been purged forever, thanks to a wonderfully simplistic fix from the developers.

In the latest patch that came with some balances for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2, Treyarch and Raven Software added a durational increase to the damage caused by the storm.

The patch notes state "Players that are continually in the gas will suffer more damage over time", meaning that the longer one stays in the gas the more damage it will cause.

In comparison to the recurring tick of the damage dependant on which level of the storm the game is at, this would mean that players are hit with more damage for the longer they stay in the gas, and therefore reaching a state where one tick would end your game, eliminating the way a stim shot can act.

The stim glitch, in its many forms over the lifetime of Warzone, relies upon idle time for the gas to tick away at your health before shocking your health bar up to the maximum with an EpiPen-like stab of the arm. With this being a way of staying in the gas forever until your foes perish, the manipulation was frowned upon and considered cheating.

Now, the stim glitch seems to be wiped from the game, we can all go back to meaninglessly spraying 50 calibre round bullets at each other in peace.

Goodbye Warzone stim glitch, I can't say it's been nice knowing you.
