Call of Duty Mobile was a big deal. It was recently announced to be coming to a close now, but for Chinese markets especially, the standalone mobile title took the gaming sphere by storm.

Many fans wondered why the popular pocket title would have any reason to shut its servers down, but now, it looks like we might have an answer. It looks as though the world could be getting a new Call of Duty Mobile.

It was recently revealed that Activision has built its very own studio that focuses on game production for mobile. A job advertisement has hit the internet looking for a systems designer and has offered an introduction to Activision Mobile.

“Welcome to Activision Mobile”, it begins. “We’re a new in-house studio, dedicated to developing the best AAA mobile games in the world. Our first project is a new AAA mobile title in the Call of Duty franchise and we’re looking for great talent from mobile, console, and PC backgrounds passionate about their work, who share our belief in what AAA experiences on mobile can and should be.”

Activision Mobile hasn’t been officially publicised by other divisions of Activision just yet, potentially as it’s very early in its production phase, but this job listing has revealed them and their intentions for fans nicely.

Fans have speculated that this is a whole new addition to the Call of Duty world rather than a rehash of the first Call of Duty Mobile or a remake of long-standing titles. However, no details have yet been revealed, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

We could be waiting a while, but either way, we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in the works.
