JGOD Thinks Camping Will Dominate Vanguard
Campers are a staple of the FPS at large. It’s typical, and practically unavoidable for online FPS games - for every player who’s willing to race to the battlefield and soak up the action, there’s a player sat in a corner, chipping away at unsuspecting players just trying to play the game.
Thankfully, although nothing can really be done about them, they’ve been declining in numbers when it comes to the big names in the genre. But one of Call of Duty’s biggest community champs has shared his worries that they’ll be making a bold comeback in the next title.
JGOD Thinks Vanguard Will Have Campers Galore
In the latest video uploaded to his YouTube channel, JGOD has expressed his worries that Vanguard will be dominated by campers. When discussing many of the weapon features in the game, he begins to mention the sprint-to-fire time.
"The person who’s already standing still, already aiming down sight, playing it a bit more passive, will get the kill more often than not, just because of the way the balance works. [...] That leads to limited playstyles in my opinion, so I think the overall gameplay loop is a little bit backwards and it makes it a little bit hard to play the way you want. [...] Passive and campy playstyles will dominate because of the TTK and the combination of sprint-to-fire."
It’s an insightful reason as to why he expects that the game will have a camping problem, in all fairness - it doesn’t just rely on map design.
But, this isn’t the only shocking prediction JGOD has made concerning Vanguard’s arrival.
Vanguard’s Blind-Fire Could Break Warzone, Says JGOD
According to JGOD, the new blind-fire mode that's coming to Vanguard could be putting Warzone at risk.
If the feature does end up coming to the battle royale title, it would give players even more reason to sit behind cover and just blast away in hopes of eventually hitting something. It would completely sap players of any reason to play it risky and actually have fun playing the game.
Whether these problems actually come to fruition remains to be seen - but JGOD knows his stuff. For the sake of Vanguard, we hope he’s wrong.
