Jecse Joins the Houston Outlaws
With the new year comes a new Houston Outlaw member as the team announced this Thursday that they have acquired former Seoul Dynasty main support, Lee "Jecse" Seung-soo.
Jecse emerged on the radar of the global Overwatch audience with his performance on the South Korean team, Element Mystic. He and the team did well in the amateur Korean leagues before joining Overwatch Contenders in 2018 where the team finished 5-8th in the first season of play and 3-4th in the next.
Later that year his skill was noticed by the Seoul Dynasty and they acquired him for the upcoming 2019 season, where he was a handful of appearances, predominantly focused around Stage 1.
Unfortunately, his efforts didn’t result in a massive upturn for the Dynasty as the team placed 8th overall in the regular season and exited the playoffs early with losses to the Vancouver Titans and the Hangzhou Spark.
By joining the Outlaws, Jecse reunites with former Element Mystic teammate and fellow support player Kim "Rapel" Jung-geun.
Jecse joins Daniel "Boink" Pence as the second main support on the Outlaws and fills a void in the support lineup left by former Houston support Chris "Bani" Benell who departed the team in November.
As of January 2nd, 2020, the Houston Outlaws roster consists of:
João Pedro "Hydration" Goes Telles (DPS)
Jiri "LiNkzr" Masalin (DPS)
Dante "Danteh" Cruz (DPS)
Jeffrey "blasé" Tsang (DPS)
Alexandre "SPREE" Vanhomwegen (Tank)
Matt "coolmatt" Iorio (Tank)
Kim "MekO" Tae-hong (Tank)
Austin "Muma" Wilmot (Tank)
Daniel "Boink" Pence (Support)
Shane "Rawkus" Flaherty (Support)
Kim "Rapel" Jung-geun (Support)
Lee "Jecse" Seung-soo (Support)
The Outlaws' debut their reimagined roster on February 15 against the Florida Mayhem.
