Worldwide furniture and accessories store, IKEA, has announced a gaming range, partnering with ASUS' Republic of Gamers.

The range will consist of "affordable" gaming furniture and accessories, although they have not yet been specified. The Swedish company are known for economical and comfortable appliances, which makes equipment such as gaming chairs probable to be within the range.

The full range of around 30 products will be launched in China, as of February 2021, with other locations being added in October next year.

Republic of Gamers aim to "Unite gamers of diverse backgrounds to achieve their potential together in play" according to their website and often make products such as motherboards, laptops, monitors, phones, and graphic cards.

General manager of ROG, Kris Huang, stated: "With years of experience delivering innovative gaming solutions to gamers, ROG has a strong understanding of the gaming community" in a press statement which revealed the collaboration.

With ROG known for making more advanced and high-quality gaming technology, it is yet to be seen as to how IKEA will help make this affordable for gamers. The two contrasting outlets will have a big job on their hands to combine premium gear with affordable profits to make the partnership worthwhile.

IKEA already has an office range, boasting a range of desks and chairs that can be used by gamers, hinting at the quality of the items to be tailored towards specific gaming chairs and electronics, rather than desks.

With many gaming supplies costing large amounts, and many gamers spending hundreds of pounds on the next-generation consoles, an affordable range of accessories could be just what the community need to keep the cost down in designing their gaming rooms.
