Hooray, Vanguard Just Nerfed The Sun… And Dognados
Finally...
Vanguard’s beta testing is on the move, and Call of Duty fans have been loving and hating it in equal measure. As you can imagine, the likes of Dr Disrespect and Felix "xQc" Lengyel have already slated the game, but others seem to be having a great time with the early build of the game.
It is, however, a little buggy. It’s hardly surprising, given that the game is unfinished by nature - but it’s still causing trouble in games regardless.
But, Sledgehammer Games has come through with some fixes that will make gameplay better. It's only when laying out all of the fixes, it makes them… a bit silly.
Vanguard Fixes The Sun, Dognados And More
We reported some time ago that Warzone fans wanted the sun itself to be nerfed in-game, and it looks like Sledgehammer Games is finally giving the people what they want.
In a blog post, Sledgehammer announced it would be making some changes to the game in a tongue-in-cheek way. It revealed that the Sun is getting a nerf, it'll be cracking down on Red Star raves, removing dognados, and tuning spawns to avoid Hotel Royal’s murder kitchen.
The game has suffered from a sun too bright and dogs that glitch out in a spiral fashion to Taz. Fans seem to have given the problems some cute nicknames, but they’re getting removed regardless. Sob.
It’s nice that Sledgehammer is taking this in its stride, as knowing Call of Duty fans, there’s every chance the developer has been on the receiving end of some scathing tweets regarding these problems. Especially as one has persisted in Warzone for some time now.
Fans Have Wanted A Sun Nerf Since Warzone
Fans have been baying for a nerf to the Sun for a while now, and Warzone fans can’t bring themselves to see how funny the prospect of nerfing the Sun is, either.
One user on Reddit had troubles with the reflections of the sun on a wet roof, which led to them getting killed by an enemy player. Commenters raged on, and not one of them identified how funny it was that they were asking developers to nerf the Sun itself. Comedy gold.
Regardless of the humour in the Sun’s nerf, it’s nice to see that Sledgehammer is taking fan gripes seriously - even through a sillier lens. Roll on Vanguard, and we’ll be having some choice words with the devs if we spot any more dognados.
