After managing to qualify for the First Strike Europe main event, Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas sat down with us to talk about their journey, why losing to NiP was a positive event for them, playing Sage, the North America vs Europe debate, their style and more.

Team Heretics had fallen short in the first qualifier bracket, losing to Ninjas in Pyjamas in close fashion 13-11. The team had only formed at the start of October but had already turned heads in the European scene, finding the respect of top teams throughout their early scrim performances. "Since we built this line-up, we've constantly been winning scrims against the best teams." said nukkye, though adding that he doesn't think they are the best team just yet, needing more success in official matches before they could be crowned the kings of Europe.

The differences of regional strength were also brought up and specifically the quality of the North American against the European scene. FPX captain Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow had made a bold claim on Twitter, stating that "I feel like top NA VALORANT team will win something around 4 rounds max vs top EU (if they win both pistols)." Asked about the comment, nukkye remained humble for his region, stating that he thinks that "it might be really close on the first events. I think EU, in general, there are a [some] more experienced players in EU than in NA."

Team Heretics will participate in the First Strike European Regional finals starting on December 3 through December 6, fighting against teams like G2 Esports, FunPlus Phoenix, and Team Liquid.
