As the mastermind behind the merger between OpTic Gaming and Team Envy, Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez has now found his third home in as many years, wrestling the branding back from Immortals whilst operating under the NRG banner, either side of a Chicago Huntsmen name change.

What Was The Rumour About H3CZ?

However, H3CZ was recently put under pressure as reports emerged that during the OpTic Chicago era, the NRG Co-CEO had to ask for help from his parent organisation, as the OpTic franchise alone reportedly wasn't able to fund the player wages of their Call of Duty League team.

As the first rumours surfaced that OpTic was dissolving out of their contract with NRG, with another home imminent, reports detailed that NRG stepped in to take the fall for the wages, including those of the long-standing OpTic stalwart Seth "Scump" Abner.

However, H3CZ has now taken to a podcast to dismiss these rumours and insist that he did not fail to pay his players during the CDL 2022 season.

What Did H3CZ Say About The Salary Rumour?

Speaking in another Eavesdrop podcast episode alongside Davis "Hitchariide" Davis, H3CZ admitted that the rumour "hurt a little".

Hitchariide said, "Imagine you not paying Seth and him just being like, 'okay'," before commenting on the irony of the leaks, adding, "You didn’t pay players and people found out about it through an internet article? Give me a f**king break."

OpTic's financial stability has seemingly skyrocketed following the merger with Envy, as the brand will also house the Halo esports team and a professional Warzone squad, boasting a variety of top-tier content creators.

Speaking in another YouTube video - a prelude to the next chapter of OpTic's documentary named The Process - H3CZ also added "You've never seen what we can do with resources", hinting at huge things for the future of the Green Wall.
