Halo Infinite Reveals Multiplayer Map Names and Information
Halo Infinite was impressively one of the biggest takers of E3 this year. The first batch of footage was underwhelming for fans, but the new footage and details seen this year have pleasantly surprised us, and the announcement that Infinite’s multiplayer would be completely free has changed the way players see it, and could breathe some new life into the game after all. More details about the multiplayer modes are highly sought after following its reveal, and we finally have new looks at the stages on which multiplayer will be set.
We have a look at five of the game’s new maps, and they look great fun. Here’s what to expect from them…
Behemoth
The first map revealed looks to be set in an ancient desert, and is described as having “survived for a hundred millennia, but this ring still holds fast to secrets yet unknown”. Looks like there’s still plenty to uncover on Behemoth, and we can’t wait to discover what it has to offer.
Fragmentation
Fragmentation is a rocky vista that sees nature reclaim lands that have seen ancient inhabitance. “Now more than ever, Installation 07’s serene surface belies a deeper strain and conflict” according to 343, so perhaps there’s much more to the map than meets the eye.
Recharge
Recharge is a map we’ve seen before in trailers and teasers and looks to be some form of power plant, with a lot of moving parts. “Resource infrastructure facilities such as those run by Axys’ hydroelectric division help maintain stable energy grids for colony worlds throughout the UEG”, reads the official info.
Live Fire
“Instructors at the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science ensure their Sartans are prepared for any challenge that a hostile galaxy throws at them”, and in the new map Live Fire, you’ll take on your enemy team in the Academy’s live firing area. The location might be good for military drills, but chances are your battles here won’t be as forgiving.
Bazaar
Bazaar takes place in a market town that has seen something of an uptick from local military activities. “The East African Protectorate’s plan to rebuild the glassed urban core of Mombasa was ambitious and expensive, but Project Rebirth investment by the UEG and UNSC activity at the nearby Voi Excession has revitalized some sections of the metropolis.”
These are the only maps we have any information on so far, but we imagine there’ll be more to come closer to the game’s release date. Either way, these locations look like great fun, and we can’t wait to dive in.
