Microsoft Has Released Halo Infinite Pringles - And We're Not Sure What To Think

If you like the taste of cold steel and Reaper blood, why not try the new Halo Infinite flavour Pringles? Obviously, Halo-flavoured Pringles don't actually taste of Master Chief, but still, they're the latest crazy release to promote the upcoming release of Halo Infinite. We're no stranger to unusual Pringle flavours, with everything from garlic seafood to blueberry, eggs benedict to crab being available in certain countries. In case you'd ever wondered what a Halo Pringle would taste like, we've got the answer.

We've already seen the Colonel try to get in on the video game market with the mythical KFC console, while Subway has had a Counter-Strike tie-in, Sonic the Hedgehog has his own cereal, and Call of Duty regularly collaborates with Mountain Dew and Doritos. Only recently, McDonald's celebrated the 25th anniversary of Pokemon with the return of its Pokemon Card promotion. Basically, filling our stomach while mashing buttons is a big business, meaning a Pringles promo could be a real money-spinner.

What are Halo Infinite Pringles?

While Halo Infinite was supposed to be a flagship release for next-gen Xbox in November, developers made the tough decision to delay it into this year. Still, it's up there with God of War: Ragnarok as one of 2021's most-anticipated games, meaning everyone will want a piece of the pie. Monster Energy drinks have already got in on the Halo hype after 343 Industries delayed the game. Last year, the potential price of the Xbox Series X was leaked by a Pringles promotion where you could win the console, so those famous crisps are no stranger to helping promote Microsoft.

For a limited time only, shoppers in the USA can pick up Halo Infinite Pringles from Walmart. The million-dollar question is what flavour these potato discs will be. If you want to tickle your tastebuds, the Halo Infinite Pringles are apparently Moa Burger flavour. Those up on their Halo history will know Moas are massive ostrich-like birds that are native to the planet Reach. In theory, this should mean Moa Burger flavour Pringles taste a bit like ostrich burgers. In reality, we're guessing they'll be more of a general beef burger flavour.

Some were disappointed they don't seem to be available in other countries, with one disgruntled foodie questioning why ASDA isn't stocking them if it's supposed to be part of the Walmart family. We've got to agree, what about the rest of us? If you fancy yourself as the ultimate Halo fan, you could pay the extortionate shipping fees to see what Moa really tastes like.

How long will you be able to buy Halo Infinite Pringles for?

Although Moa Burger flavour Pringles are already on shelves at Walmart, we don't know how long they'll be sticking around for. We also don't know how many cans of Pringles there are, so we suggest you grab them while you can. As a possible positive sign, it would make sense to keep the Pringles promo around until the game actually launches. The problem with that is, we only have a loose release date of "late 2021". The again, rolling out a Pringles promo could be a hint that we're closer than first through to Halo Inifnite's long-awaited debut.

Some have suggested this is just a generic Halo collaboration, however, others have noted the branding uses the updated version of Master Chief that we're set to see in Infinite. A Pringles promo comes just after the news that the Paramount+ Halo TV series is due to premiere in early 2022. Why don't you stock up on your Moa Pringles and get ready to sit back and snack when Orange is the New Black's Pablo Schreiber suits up as Master Chief in live-action?

Even though it's a nice idea, we're guessing there will be plenty of confused shoppers picking up cans of Halo Infinite Pringles and not having a clue what a Moa Burger is.
