Halo Infinite PC Will Be A Custom Built Experience
Halo Infinite on PC will be a customisable experience over the typical console port. That's according to Microsoft who announced a new partnership with AMD to celebrate Halo. The Halo franchise has never been considered a PC franchise, with The Master Chief Collection being the first time it had ventured on to the platform.
However, with the hotly anticipated sequel less than two months away, Microsoft is keen to do right by PC gamers. Its collaboration with AMD ensures that Halo Infinite on PC will come with a bunch of player-requested features on launch from wide-screen support to PC LAN support.

Halo Infinite On PC Won't Be Another Console Port
Halo Infinite on PC will reportedly be a PC-first experience, and Microsoft stated that it was "at the centre of everything" it does. This means that Halo Infinite on PC won't be yet another console port. Instead, players will see a wide variety of PC specific customisation option arriving with the game on launch.
In its Halo Infinite PC Overview video, developer 343 Industries announced that the game will include features such as FreeSync support, Razer Chromo RGB support, FOV adjustments and more. What's even better is that it would all be available at launch. It cites its work on The Master Chief Collection, which launched two years ago on PC, helped 343 finely select what to do and what to avoid in order to achieve a PC-shooter feel for Halo.
The challenge with 343's development process will make Halo Infinite a scaled experience dependent on what type of PC you play on, as well as consoles like the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. PC Lead Quality Engineer Xhaver Strothers stated:
"You should be able to play how you want to play, whenever you want to play, on whichever platform you want to play on and it should work."

Halo Infinite will also be playable in cross-play, meaning all platforms will be able to show off their Spartan skills in the one lobby. The partnership with AMD also means that Microsoft, AMD, and 343 Industries are working to bring further features to Halo Infinite on PC post-launch. On top of the priority list is raytracing support.
Microsoft Unveil Custom Graphics Card For Halo Infinite On PC
If all the news of support for Halo Infinite on PC wasn't enough, Microsoft also unveiled the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card. This military grade graphics card dons the signature army green of Master Chief's Mjolnir armour along with flecks of gold and the infamous 117 branding.
This limited edition bit of kit is supposedly the "fastest gaming graphics card AMD ever developed". Sadly it won't actually be going on sale, however AMD promised that there will be multiple upcoming opportunities for players to get their hands on it.
Halo Infinite marks the first simultaneous console and PC launch for the franchise. Microsoft is clearly intent on delivering an experience that allows players to customise the experience round them. Halo Infinite on PC will launch alongside the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on December 8, 2021.
