Even though Halo Infinite has promised to try and get more female gamers involved in the ever-growing community, it's definitely still a man's world out there on Zeta Halo.

Halo Infinite may have some character customisation, however, it's still hard to distinguish between different genders in the latest entry. Now, someone has started a petition for curvier female soldiers in Halo Infinite. The problem is, we're not sure if it's for the right reasons.

What Is The Female Spartan Petition?

There's now a Change.org petition titled, "Petition to put a body with more feminine features in Halo Infinite". At the time of writing, over 1,300 people have signed the petition. The crux of it is asking for more definition in Spartan body styles to distinguish whether the soldier inside is male or female.

Part of the description reads, "It has been seen that the female representation in the game is very little recognizable since the features that are so characteristic of a female body are minimal." Of course this petition is the brainchild of a man, and there's a particularly icky line that says, "The bodies in the game are not a good representation of women with a worked body."

Although this is going under the guise of noble intentions, critics have called out this 'horny on Main' petition. Namely, most of those calling for curvy armour options on Twitter and Reddit seem to be men. The Change.org petition has also been highlighted on Reddit.

One reader wrote, "You could just say y'all wanna see Spartan ass, we ain't gonna judge," while another added, "My takeaway.. they're supersoldiers under bulky armor, so whether or not they have "defined feminine features" (which just sorta sounds creepy to request) it's not like they should even show through the armor much."

Are There Female Spartans In Halo Infinite?

343 doesn't specifically confirm there are female body options in Halo Infinite, however, the smaller Type 1 armour selection is suggested as the best representation of women. The problem is, adding curvacious "female" armour to Halo Infinite would only repeat the butt scandal of Halo: Reach and Halo 5. It's Pyramid Head's Dead by Daylight ass nerf all over again.

One particularly gross comment on Twitter reads, "I mean.. to be fair.. I do miss Halo 5 female spartan booty. they gave them b*tches big bubble butts. lmao every time I hit a launch pad in Breakout I'd just admire them big cheeks."

Things were split down the board, with some saying it's an important step for the inclusion of different genders, and others saying it's just a bit odd to want to stare at a Spartan's ass while thinking of women.

Although there aren't necessarily female Spartan options in Infinite, many have praised the team for completely doing away with gender options. Instead, there are three body types and eight audio options. This is arguably a better way to make sure everyone is represented equally without slapping a label on Spartans.

For now, 343's forward-thinking seems to be the best option without turning Spartans into a Jessica Rabbit-inspired pin-up for gamers to get hot under the armour for.
