Halo Infinite early access bundle could be on the way for those eager beavers who can't wait to put Master Chief's helmet back on. As a long-awaited sequel to 2015's Halo 5: GuardiansHalo Infinite is poised to be one of the Xbox Series' defining titles and is a contender for Game of the Year - if not the decade.

Of course, the road to Halo Infinite hasn't been an easy one. Fans were hardly blown away by the title's reveal as the Xbox Games showcase, which led to the birth of the now-iconic Craig the Brute meme. Things have gone a little smoother since then, and despite a slew of delays and a global pandemic slowing things down, Craig the Brute is dead (RIP) and things are looking pretty good.

What Is The Halo Infinite Early Access?

Posting on Twitter, fans started noticing that Halo Infinite early access is listed on the Microsoft Store. Aggiornamenti Lumia regularly comments on store listings and noted that Microsoft also seems to be adding DLCs in time for Halo Infinite's launch. On October 29, they reported, "Halo Infinite got three new DLCs over the last few hours" and then added "four" the next day.

In terms of what you could expect from the Halo Infinite Early Access bundle, the listing is completely empty apart from text that reads "Early Access Digital Bundle". At the time of writing, Halo Infinite is tipped for general release on December 8, but by the sounds of it, a lucky few could be blasting off early.

When Could See The Halo Infinite Early Access Bundle?

Unfortunately, the sketchy listing doesn't offer up any clues on when we'll be getting Halo Infinite early access. Other big 2021 shooters like Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 have offered the same, so why not Master Chief's hopeful return to form?

The idea of DLCs was always a given, however, an Early Access bundle is something new. When Halo Infinite comes blasting out of the gate in December, it still won't be a complete game. With pressure mounting and some doubting we'd even get a 2021 release, 343 confirmed that both the Forge and campaign co-op have been pushed into 2022. How many of us will be able to jump into Halo Infinite early access remains to be seen, but either way, it's a rare bit of good news for the series.
