Halo Infinite's multiplayer has brought a lot of fun to fans of the franchise, and now with the campaign launching today (December 8), fans can't wait to see what's next for Master Chief.

The game has been a long time coming, and with fans already calling the multiplayer mode a return to form for the franchise, there's every chance that the campaign could bring Halo back to life in the way it truly deserves.

But, there's one thing that developers seem to have missed when building the game's campaign mode that will box out a lot of fans from reliving their favourite moments.

Why Can't You Relay Halo Infinite Campaign Missions?

A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed that you bizarrely won't have the option to replay campaign missions in Halo Infinite at launch. In other games in the series, you'd at least be offered the option through various menus, but this addition has omitted the feature.

"The postgame does give you the option to keep exploring the environment", the spokesperson says to Polygon," but for missions like the first two, where you're not on the ring yet, you can't replay from the same save file. You'd be able to get any remaining FOBs, targets [and] audio logs, but the main story missions would not repeat."

This could be down to the open-world elements of the game working against such a linear structure for missions, but either way, fans aren't happy about it.

But, there could be a fix yet to come.

Are Replayable Halo Infinite Campaign Missions Coming?

Now, a 343 Industries spokesperson has come forward to assure players that the ability to replay campaign missions will be added to the game after launch.

"It's part of what is coming later", Associate Creative Director of 343 Paul Crocker has said to Stevivor. "The main reason is because, being a more open game and a nonlinear game, it became incredibly challenging.

"It's not that it doesn't work, it's just that it's not finished. [...] And that is disappointing for us as the people who made it, but it was, also, the better option for us to make a better game and add that later."

It might be a bummer that we won't be getting the feature at launch, but at least it's coming. If the campaign is truly that good, we can be glad to have the feature at all.
