Halo Infinite Blue Screen Of Death Is Ruining The Game
Surprise, Christmas has come early. With the shock announcement that Halo Infinite multiplayer was dropping to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Xbox, Microsoft and 343 Industries gave us the present we were really asking for. As servers struggle to cope with the sheer demand of players, there's another problem in the form of the Halo Infinite blue screen of death.
Anyone who has ever owned a Windows PC will undoubtedly have heard about the blue screen of death. Xbox consoles have been plagued by the red ring of death, but for PC, there's that feeling of dread when you feel the pit of your stomach drop and the screen goes blue. It's hard to believe that in 2021, the blue screen of death is still causing mayhem.
Halo Infinite Blue Screen Of Death: What Is It?
Halo Infinite has only just been unleashed onto the waiting masses, however, social media is full of players complaining that they're being bricked by the blue screen of death. The Xbox support Twitter acknowledged there was a possible blue screen problem - then quickly deleted the Tweet.
Apparently, the Halo Infinite blue screen of death is causing problems in the beta multiplayer. Downloading the game's client doesn't cut it, and when you've got the 250MB download, gamers report they're being taken to a blue screen and are just left there, marooned in the abyss of azure.
Halo Infinite Blue Screen Of Death: Is There A Fix?
Thankfully, there appears to be a fix for the Halo Infinite blue screen of death. Community Director Brian Jarrard posted on Twitter and claims that restarting your console or relaunching Game Pass on PC should fix the problem. Banishing the blue screen of death is one thing, but that still won't help with those sluggish servers struggling to deal with all that Halo hype.
For the time being, we're happy exploring the various maps and levelling up the Halo Infinite Battle Pass while we wait patiently for the December 8 launch of the campaign. For now, it sounds like the Halo Infinite blue screen of death is just a temporary gremlin in the code that is relatively easy to fix. Here's hoping this isn't the start of a long list of Halo Infinite woes.
