Halo Infinite Battle Pass Buff Slashes Progression Difficulty
Halo Infinite's multiplayer beta has been an absolute treat for many so far - but even though the polished free-to-play title is a gallant return to the classic skirmishes we remember from yesteryear, there's one common gripe.
The battle pass offers a lot of goodies that let players customise their Spartan to their heart's content - but first, they have to unlock everything. The trouble is, the Halo Infinite battle pass levelling system is incredibly slow, and despite so many games played by fans, they're just not unlocking anything. But that could be all about to change.
Halo Infinite Battle Pass Buff: What's Going On?
Thankfully, a new XP buff is on its way to Halo Infinite that should make levelling up through the battle pass much easier for players. Rather than offering a total overhaul for the XP system, a new bonus XP will be offered to players based on how many games they play in a day. It's a simple change, but it's one that will make all the difference.
The announcement was made by Halo's community manager John Junyszek in a Twitter thread addressing fan concerns over the XP problems.
"When we made our initial change to progression, which added Daily 'play 1 Game' challenges, updated weekly challenges, and doubled the duration of 2XP boosts, we promised we'd monitor the data and make additional changes if needed", he says. "Now, it's time to follow up on that." In order to address the lack of progression, Junyszek states that 323 industries "will be increasing the XP payout for the first 6 matches of each day".
What Are The Exact Halo Infinite XP Payouts?
Junyszek has revealed the exact XP payouts to come in the game in order to rebalance the progress of the battle pass. Players getting involved for the first time in a day will earn a payout of 300XP, with different payouts scaling down until the 7th game of the day.
It might not seem like much, but this change could turn the tides of the XP problems plaguing Halo Infinite. This is the final major gripe that fans have with the game - so with this change, who knows - it could become the next big thing.
