Although Warzone may have eclipsed the standard multiplayer side of Call of Duty, OpTic Gaming's Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez has assumed the CoDfather role of the community and has called upon the developers to look after the battle royale to help save the game as a whole.

The action from H3CZ comes after some of the largest streamers in the scene have up and left, leaving Warzone with its tail between its legs as Apex Legends hosts the party.

The likes of Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff, Timothy "TimTheTatman", and Jack "CouRage" Dunlop have all 'quit' Warzone in favour of Respawn Entertainment's flashy fast-paced showstopper, and with a lack of anti-cheat and a dedicated ranked playlist, it doesn't appear like they're planning on coming home any time soon.

With so many influencers now taking their fan bases away from Call of Duty, H3CZ has hit out at Activision, claiming that they "make so much money that they don't care', inferring that's why they won't add a costly anti-cheat.

H3CZ Hits Out At Activision Following Influencer Exits

Speaking in an OpTic Gaming podcast, Matthew "FormaL" Piper quizzed: "Imagine how big it [Warzone] could be without cheaters?", adding: "I feel it's driven away so many [streamers]. It just leaves a sour taste in everybody's mouths."

H3CZ said: "It does feel like they took it for granted. They made so much f***ing money that they don't care that big personalities [leave], that we need in this space to grow and expose the game for such a long time. The face of Warzone in NICKMERCS leaves."

He continued: “We’ve got to get our s*** together, man. We can’t be the only ones fighting for Call of Duty just because we love it. You own the f***ing game, step the f*** up! Keep the personalities here! They’re playing your game because they like it, and you’re not going to remove or add something to make their experience better?”

H3CZ and OpTic's non-Warzone problems with Activision are also mounting, ahead of the CDL World Championships. The Green Wall's SMG duo of Seth "Scump" Abner and Dylan "Envoy" Hannon have both tested positive for the coronavirus after the Stage V Major, throwing their season into question.

With a CDL Covid outbreak, Warzone streamers quitting, and internal investigations, Activision's problems are quickly mounting, and all eyes will be on them as the solutions come to the surface.
