One Reddit user revealed he had treated his friend of 15 years to a PlayStation 5 after his buddy was unable to get one himself.
It’s been an absolute nightmare for the majority of the world to get their hands on new console releases, with reports coming in that PS5s are being swapped out for air fryers and Xbox consoles aren’t performing quite to the ability people thought they would.
But for one duo, there’s been nothing but positivity from the release of the PlayStation 5. One guy’s wholesome act of kindness is a reminder that while the world may be burning around us, friends and family staying connected is one of the most fortunate tools we have today.
Reddit user u/ghost_knight1121 met his best pal during the days of Rainbow Six Vegas on Xbox 360, and the friendship has blossomed so much in the last decade, the pair were even the others’ best man at their weddings.
Ghost_knight1121 revealed that his friend had been desperately trying to get hold of a PS5 with no luck. Knowing his friend’s struggles, he decided to go and treat him to the console. What an absolute legend.
The full post, which now has over 161 thousand upvotes on Reddit, said: “Been gaming with this dude for 15 years. Since Rainbow Six Vegas on 360. I have some good gaming memories with him. He tried but couldn’t get one. Little did he know I was able to get him one. Looking forward to playing another generation with him.”
The post itself resonated with many people on the platform, not only for the sheer wholesome values, but for the simple fact that majority of gamers can testament to the friendships they’ve made through gaming over the years. Gaming isn’t just a place to escape, it’s an outlet that encourages people to thrive, learn valuable lessons and make some amazing memories and friendships along the way.
The world needs more friendships like Ghost_knight1121 and his pal.
