In the wake of a long line of Grand Theft Auto leaks concerning the future of the franchise, a lot of players have returned to the 360/PS3 era classic that is GTA V - but quite frankly, the game was doing well enough by itself.

The huge wave of Grand Theft Auto RP players taking to Twitch and other streaming platforms have proven that there’s still a lot of potential buried in the game, even aside from the huge content buffs that the GTA Online portion of the game has received in recent years.

A lot of these returning players have been jumping in via the game’s addition to the Xbox Game Pass, arguably one of the best resources for players who are prone to jump from game to game. But now, they might have to say goodbye - as the game is leaving the Game Pass very soon.

Sadly for many players, it looks as though Game Pass players will have to say goodbye to GTA V very soon, unless they’re willing to shell out for the game.

Many fans have reason to believe that the game is leaving the streaming service, as it has appeared in Game Pass’ “leaving soon” tab.

As Rockstar are expected to release a next-gen upgrade for the game this November for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 it’s no surprise, really, but it doesn’t take much of the sting out of the fact that players are now going to have to buy the game rather than rely on the good old Game Pass.

The biggest frustrating about knowing that Grand Theft Auto V is leaving the Game Pass is that we don’t know exactly when it will. No official date has been revealed as of yet, though we expect that this will come along with the next announcement of games that will be joining the pass.

Although, as is often the case with games that appear in the “leaving soon” tab, the game is expected to be gone in around two weeks' time - so you’re running out of time to buy your rocket-bikes and supercars.

Jump on the game while you still can, because once it’s gone, you’re going to have to shell out if you want to stick around in Los Santos. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
