Gotham Knights Game Just Dropped A New Update On Twitter
We've been waiting for news regarding the new Gotham Knights game for a long time, and the official Twitter account just dropped some news!
WB Montreal has described Gotham Knights as an open-world adventure, where you can explore each of Gotham's distinct districts, so you can imagine that the hype is real.
What Exactly Has The Gotham Knights Twitter Account Said?
The Tweet reads: "No one talks about them, not a whispered word is said. #DCFANDOME . 10.16.2021"
The Tweet is captioned: "Always watching. Always listening. #DCFanDome".
So we can expect that SOMETHING is coming on the 16th October, but exactly what is a little bit more difficult to narrow down.
What Else Do We Know About Gotham Knights?
Well, not a lot. But one thing we do know is that even though it's technically a 'Batman game', Mr Bat himself won't actually be in it. The first reveal of Gotham Knights confirmed that Bruce Wayne is dead, and instead, fans will be able to play as Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Red Hood (Jason Todd), and Robin (Tim Drake).
How Have Fans Reacted To This New Bit Of Gotham Knights News?
A lot of people have been discussing the 'fact' that Batman is dead. One fan wrote: "I can assure you guys, Batman isn't dead, he is kidnapped by the court of owls. He will appear in the game at the end. I think maybe we will get the chance to play him for some side missions and so on."
Another fan replied, dismissing the theory, saying: "They directly said he isn't playable, though tbh if they intend for a twist like that I doubt they would spoil it early."
Other Twitter users took to the comment section to express their disbelief that the Twitter account was finally giving updates - honestly? You and me both.
It's been a while since the Arkham trilogy finished with Batman: Arkham Knight. As Rocksteady focuses on its own world with Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, Gotham Knights is hoping to continue the story.
With WB Montreal being known for its work on Batman: Arkham Origins and playing a part in Arkham Knight's DLC content, it's no stranger to this world of crime and caped crusaders. We can't wait to see what comes next...
