God of War is one of the greatest sources of pride for PlayStation... and for good reason. As 2018's God of War broke free from its PlayStation shackles on PC late last year, the game is finally reaching an even bigger fanbase. Now, it's got us wondering whether a God of War Ragnarok PC port is also on the way.

It wasn't expected that hack-and-slash icon Kratos - the God of War himself - could handle an action game led by its narrative and him learning to be a caring father, but lo and behold, God of War launched to a chorus of delight from critics and fans alike. It was a dramatic shift for Kratos, but certainly a welcome one.

In a business briefing for Sony shareholders, the gaming giant shared that it's expecting to make a whopping $300 million in net sales from its PC output. This is a huge leap in income for Sony, especially considering its PC output and the few PC releases it has unveiled over the last few years.

This is a massive estimation when you remember PlayStation's only slated PC release right now is Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. This means that there must be more in the pipeline if Sony is going to meet its sales expectations. Time to start those Ghost of Tsushima PC rumours again.

Sony has said it expects about 15% to 20% of its upcoming releases to be on PC in the next year, and it's hoping that this number moves up to 30% by the time 2025 rolls around. So, if Sony is amping up its PC game production, what does this mean for a mythical God of War Ragnarok PC release?

A God Of War Ragnarok PC Release Makes Sense

Though it seems like PlayStation is banking on Bungie to come through with big profits after its acquisition of the company, this could likely mean that God of War Ragnarok won't have to wait as long as the first game to finally make it to PC. With Ragnarok being such a huge draw for the PS5, it's doubtful the AAA title would come to PC right away.

Still, after the success of 2018's game getting the PC treatment, it's safe to speculate that Sony's projections suggest it'll land eventually, perhaps in the few years after its launch. Whenever God of War Ragnarok comes to PC, it'll be incredibly welcome - meaning that even more players can experience the end of Kratos and Atreus' story. And that certainly can't be a bad thing.
