God of War is perhaps one of the greatest titles in the roster of the PlayStation 4. The likes of The Last Of UsMarvel's Spider-Man and Horizon: Zero Dawn make it tough competition, but Santa Monica Studio's loving and powerful reboot of the hack-and-slash banger is one of gaming's most fondly remembered in recent years.

And now, luckily for some, it will be exclusive to the PlayStation no longer, as it is finally coming to PC with some stellar new features.

God Of War Comes To PC

After rumours and leaks suggested it could happen, it has now been revealed that we'll be getting Santa Monica Studio's magnum opus, God of War, on PC next year.

Though many had speculated that God of War for PC would be an Epic Games Store exclusive, we can confirm God of War PC will be on Steam and EGS together.

God of War PC will come with native 4K, higher-res shadows, and improved SSR, along with support for ultra-widescreen monitors and "robust" controller and button mapping. If you love ultimate customisation, then this could be your chance to play the game in the very best way.

The announcement was made with a dramatic trailer that recounts the events of the game's narrative.

When Is God Of War For PC Coming Out?

Thankfully, we don't have long to wait for this new, souped-up version of God of War to land in our laps. The new edition of the game is coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store on January 22, and there will be more info about the port courtesy of PlayStation before launch - so there's more to uncover about the new version.

Given that we had a blast with the game the first time around, perhaps this is the perfect excuse to take another trip through the realms - and with ultrawide monitor support, 4K and 60 frames per second, this could be our very best look at the game before we get our mitts on Ragnarok.
