God Of War Is Cheaper Than Ever On The PlayStation Store
With Christmas just around the corner, you might be wondering what to get that special someone. When bath bombs and a Lynx Africa boxset don't cut it, what about taking a beefy and bearded warrior on a tale of bloodthirsty revenge? Awww, how romantic!
Few titles have made such an impact on the modern gaming scene as 2018's God of War. The reboot of Sony Santa Monica's long-stale series was heralded as much more than just a return to form - with IGN fans even naming it the best game of all time. Now, you can nab it for the cheapest it's ever been.
How Much Is God Of War Right Now?
To celebrate the end of what's been another mixed bag of a year (thanks Rona), the PlayStation Store is hosting a massive End of Year sale. Here, you can grab the likes of God of War, Resident Evil 7, and 2016's Ratchet & Clank for a fraction of what they originally were.
A particular high is God of War, which is now just £7.99/$9.99. It's a massive saving on a game that was previously selling for the £60/$60 mark. We know God of War was part of the PS Plus collection on PS5, however, that was locked behind a paywall, and if your subscription has run out, you've lost access to it.
If you head into stores to try and find a second-hand God of War, you're still going to be paying this price or more. The above is only for the standard edition of the game without all the frills and bows of fancy armours, but still, it's one hell of a deal.
When Does The Sony End Of Year Sale End?
The sale has actually been running since the end of November, and thankfully, you've got a little longer left. Those clever clogs up high have a snag though. We imagine a lot of you will be getting PlayStation Store gift cards for Christmas. Sadly, this money-saving bonanza ends on December 22.
Now couldn't be a better time to get your Leviathan Axe bloody in Midgard if you haven't already. After being delayed from its original release this year, God of War Ragnarok is roaring into battle in 2022. We know there won't be a trilogy of Norse games, so all bets are off about how Kratos' current chapter will come to an end.
