Ah, aimbot. The bane of many gamers' existence. The aimbot is an innovation that has laid online gaming communities to waste. Aim assist is a standard part of FPS games like Call of Duty, especially on consoles for a little extra help when using joysticks, but hackers have pushed it much too far in the likes of Warzone to make hacks that practically secure wins straight out of the gate.

Aimbot has garnered a pretty bad name, with its mere mention bothering seasoned competitive gamers. Now, someone has been able to translate it into real-life and create something genuinely impressive.

In a wild turn, one crafty inventor has created an incredible/real aimbot for his bow and arrow, which tracks its targets and will only release its arrow if everything is perfectly lined up and the shot can be guaranteed.

The freaky device has made archery incredibly unfair, as the video shared on the Stuff Made Here YouTube channel shows off a series of incredible trick shots that the aimbot can pull off with ease.

“Being good at stuff is so 20th century”, says Shane Wighton from the Stuff Made Here channel, in the video that shows off his new piece of kit. “Put this on, and you don’t have to aim anymore. [...] When you wield the aimbot, you almost have a superpower. It tracks targets really well.” The bow follows its targets with incredible precision, and apparently, it hardly misses.

Easy, partner. This aimbot bow and arrow is a one-off built by Wighton, and chances are, it’ll stay that way. It looks pretty expensive to produce, and frankly, we’d worry about its military applications. Maybe it’s for the best that it’s in the safe hands of Stuff Made Here.

The aimbot is incredibly cool, and a smart device that, really, kind of breaks the laws of physics in its own way. Plus, Wighton might have just invented his way into the Avengers, so at least he’s got another career path if YouTube isn’t particularly sustainable.
