The "slay" bells are ringing, as one gamer has gone viral after his girlfriend got him the ultimate God of War gift. While we've seen plenty of merch since Kratos first slashed his way into our lives back in 2005, a Kratos-themed vase could be the best on the market.

These days, most of us know God of War for Cory Barlog's 2018 reboot that took the Ghost of Sparta into Norse mythology. Still, there's a lot of love for the franchise's days in Ancient Greece, with some even demanding a time travel twist in next year's God of War Ragnarok

What Is The Ultimate God Of War Gift?

Posting on Reddit, uyoungking007OG shared a video of the God of War gift his girlfriend got him. There's a massive Greek-style vase that depicts Kratos in full Ghost of Sparta mode. It's a suitably massive vase, that homages the one found in Tyr's vault, and would definitely be a talking point of your gaming room or even on top of the mantlepiece.

With so much hype surrounding Kratos' Norse days, it's nice to see we haven't forgotten the saga that put him on the map. Others were over the moon with the gift, and said they wish they had a girlfriend who understood their love of the big guy just as much.

One said, "This is very beautiful gift. Looks very amazing. marry your gf dude," while another added, "im not kidding, im a dude, and i teared up alittle to think anyone would be thoughtful enough to get something as specific as that, thats not like a well known gift to give someone based on someone interest, thats something that took thought. Bravo sir, that looks just damn cool."

Someone even suggested the OP go full Kratos as they concluded, "Fill it all the way up with wine and chug it." Hopefully, it will last longer than the one did in-game. In 2018's God of War, Kratos smashed it before Atreus could find out about his past.

Where Can You Get The God Of War Vase?

Sadly, the author doesn't reveal where his girlfriend got the vase, simply that she got it from an artist. If that artist is out there reading this - please get in touch. Any God of War fan would love to have this standing pride of place next to their Blades of Chaos and Leviathan Axe.

The closest we've found is a God of War mug that uses the same motif. As a final stab to the gut, it's currently unavailable on Amazon. Elsewhere, we recently covered how another Kratos fanatic built their own Leviathan Axe. Finally, there's one clever customer that's been building their own God of War faceplates for the PS5.

All of the above come with a hefty price tag, and looking at our bank balance, it might be a Kratos Funko under the tree this year. With Ragnarok just around the corner, we can't wait to see what this guy's girlfriend gets him next Christmas.
