Gamers Are Losing It Over A Fan-Made Cartoon Bloodborne Series
Bloodborne opened to critical acclaim back in 2015 and has been cited as one of the best video games of all time. However, it seems that neither a sequel or a remake of the Gothic game is on the horizon, much to the disappointment of its dedicated fan-base.
Although, one fan has gone above and beyond to keep the love alive for the Lovecraftian game Bloodborne by creating a small clip of a cartoon series based on the game.
After sharing the video on Twitter, the trailer has gone on to whip up more than 230,000 views and Bloodborne fans have been flooding the comment section with praise for the clip.
What Is The Fan-Made Bloodborne Cartoon?
The fantastic animation, shared by Twitter user Anthony "Berardbro" Berardo, combines some of the fantastic imagery and characters from Bloodborne. The clip may be less than 30 seconds long, but it manages to brilliantly capture the Gothic, Dracula-esque landscape of Yharnam and its infected inhabitants that plague the Hunter's Dream. The added bonus of the song The Hunter from the game's original soundtrack, also, helps to add to the Bloodborne atmosphere.
The clip may be very fast-paced, but eagle-eyed Bloodborne players will no doubt recognise some of the characters of the game who make a special appearance. This includes, the boss of the Astral Clocktower herself, Lady Maria, Doll, and Gehrman. Berardo explained that the style of the cartoon was heavily inspired by the classic shows by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creative genius behind iconic children's TV shows, Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls.
Will There Be A Bloodborne Cartoon Series?
Sadly, it doesn't look like there is an official Bloodborne cartoon series currently in the works, but rather this clip was released only to celebrate Soulstober2021. However, that hasn't stopped fans from expressing their love for the game, as one fan said: "Man, I would love nothing more then for bloodborne to get more love." While, another said: "Absolutely incredible! The style is so far from Bloodborne's but you've captured the essence and distilled it straight through a Tartakovsky lens!"
Hopefully some TV studios will look at giving Bloodborne the cartoon treatment as well as The Last Of Us. If not there's Netflix's upcoming Lara Croft anime to keep us entertained in the meantime.
