The early months of VALORANT's esport history had G2 Esports dominating the European scene, picking up a variety of trophies in the Ignition Series, becoming almost untouchable until the turn of the year.

The side notched up six tournament wins before Santa scoffed his cookies, leaving it quite surprising when they failed to reach the Stage 1 Regional Masters. Red-faced, the side also failed to qualify for the EU Stage 2 Masters and subsequently the Reykjavík LAN event, almost falling out of the top-tier VALORANT esports scene despite being the top of the pick just months before.

Now, G2 Esports has released the trio of Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt, Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks, and Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski, in a bid to reignite their love affair with success.

Team Heretics Set To Announce ardiis and paTiTek

Whilst the trio leaves G2, each individual seems to already know their next steps. Taking to Twitter, paTiTek said "Thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity, i'll never forget this team", before adding "Look out for something tomorrow" amid rumours he's set to land a place on Team Heretic's roster.

Similarly, ardiis simply said "was fun, time to own it with teamh...", also practically confirming his move to Team Heretics too.

Team Heretics are set to add the duo to their roster following the previous departure of Melih "pAura" Karaduran and benching of former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) star Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel Brødreskift

G2 Esports And Acend Set To Swap Zeek and Koldamenta

As for zeek, it appears that the Polish native is set to replace Jose "koldamenta" Luis Aranguren Herrero on Stage 1 championship-winning side: Acend.

The team announced the departure of their Spanish Sage main, who is set to be travelling in the opposite direction and teaming up with fellow G2 Spaniard Ã“scar "Mixwell" Cañellas Colocho

With both parties missing out on major success at the hands of Team Liquid and Fnatic, the fuse for VALORANT Stage 3 is whizzing as fireworks set to spark.
