Challenges have become a critical part of the Fortnite experience. Challenges offer players a creative and interesting way to earn bundles of XP. Completing challenges is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass and unlocking exclusive skins like Lara Croft and Raven from Teen Titans.

Each Week 2 challenge grants a substantial 24,000 XP. Completing all seven Week 2 challenges will grant players a massive 168,000 XP.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 2 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Craft a Mechanical Bow, A Mechanical Explosive Bow, and a Mechanical Shockwave Bow (1) - 24,000 XP

A brand new Crafting System has been introduced in Chapter 2 - Season 6. Players can open their inventory up and hand-craft deadly weapons using nature and the tools around them.

One of the categories of weapons players can craft is bows. Throughout the Fortnite map, players will stumble across Makeshift Bows. These bows are weak initially but can be adapted to your liking, with four Mechanical Parts. Players can turn their Makeshift Bow into a Mechanical Bow.

Now that you have a Mechanical Bow, it’s time to get creative. Collect up to six Frag Grenades and fuse them with your Mechanical Bow. This will create a Mechanical Explosive Bow capable of firing small bombs.

Finally, players need to craft a Mechanical Shockwave Bow. Mechanical Shockwave Bows are created by mixing two Shockwave Grenades with a Mechanical Bow. The final result is a bow capable of firing Shockwave Grenades.

Deal damage with Mechanical Weapons (300) - 24,000 XP

Now it’s time to use that freshly made bow on some enemies! The next challenge asks players to deal 300 damage with Mechanical Weapons.

Any Mechanical Weapon will work for this challenge, but you may as well use one of the bows you just crafted. Fight off a few enemies with your new weapon until 300 total damage has been dealt.

Deal explosive damage to opponents (1000) - 24,000 XP

This challenge offers yet another opportunity to use one of those bows you crafted in the first challenge. For this one, players must deal 1,000 total explosive damage.

Dealing 1,000 explosive damage may take a while, so it’s best to attempt this challenge in Team Rumble. Spend the early part of the game searching for Mechanical Parts and Frag Grenades to craft a Mechanical Explosive Bow. With your new bow in hand, find a good location to spot up and fire away at opponents.

If you die in Team Rumble, you’ll keep your Mechanical Explosive Bow upon death. With that in mind, just fire off as many explosive arrows as possible until 1,000 total explosive damage has been dealt.

Tame A boar (1) - 24,000 XP

Fortnite Chapter 2- Season 6 not only unveiled a new Crafting System, but new animals and wildlife now roam the island

One of these animals is the Boar. Along with being a good source of crafting resources, Boars can be tamed, causing them to follow their owner around and fight as their ally in battle.

Players will find Boars near farmland, such as Colossal Crops. At Colossal Crops, there is a pen with a guaranteed spawn of Boars.

To tame a Boar, players will need to lure it with a fruit or vegetable. Alternatively, players can craft a Hunter’s Cloak using two pieces of Animal Bone and a piece of Meat. A Hunter's Cloak will turn Boars non-aggressive, allowing them to be tamed freely.

Walk up to the Boar and interact with it. After a few seconds, the Boar will become tame. You now have a new friend and can check off another Week 2 challenge.

Ride different Ziplines (5) - 24,000 XP

Ziplines are placed throughout the Fortnite map as a form of advanced transversal. Players will need to ride on five different Ziplines to complete this challenge.

Players will want to head to the east side of the island. There’s a massive stretch of Ziplines extending in a chain from Steamy Stacks to Retail Row. In total, there are seven different Ziplines connected between them.

Ride the string of Ziplines from one end to the other to hastily complete this challenge.

Obtain literature samples from Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, or Retail Row (4) - 24,000 XP

This challenge wants players to collect various literature samples from Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, and Retail Row. There are two literature samples at Pleasant Park, another two at Lazy Lake, and one at Retail Row. Players must collect four of the five to complete this challenge.

The first literature sample is in the white house on the west side of Pleasant Park. Turn left at the front door, and you’ll see a bookshelf on the wall. Interact with it to collect the first sample. The second Pleasant Park literature sample is inside the red brick house sitting at the north-west corner of town. Walk through the front door, and it’s in the left room on the first floor.

Onto Lazy Lake, enter the basement of the large building to the south-west. In the basement, there’s a magazine rack with a Lazy Lake Spa sign above it. Search the magazine rack for the literature sample. The other sample is on the first floor of the gas station next door.

The final literature sample is at Retail Row. Search the magazine rack in the library sitting on the north end of the location.

Get a headshot with a bow (1) - 24,000 XP

Remember that bow we made? You may have already completed this challenge accidentally, but if not, you’ll now need to headshot one opponent with a bow.

Any bow will work. Pick your target and line up a shot. Just one well-placed arrow will complete this challenge.

Headshots with a bow can prove difficult. If you’re having trouble, here are a couple of tips and tricks.

Down an opponent with any weapon, and then headshot the downed player with the bow. Headshotting a downed player is much easier than headshotting one that’s jumping around and building. This little trick has worked for similar challenges in the past.

Another option is to hunt for AFK players. If you wait until the last second to get off the Battle Bus, you’ll notice that there are always a few players that drop straight down without moving because they went AFK. Grab a bow and give these players a visit. If you’re lucky, there will be an easy target waiting for you.
