Challenges have become a critical part of the Fortnite experience. Challenges offer players a creative and interesting way to earn bundles of XP. Completing challenges is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass and unlocking exclusive skins like Lara Croft and Raven from Teen Titans. Additionally, players can now “super level”. Super levelling allows players to exceed Season Level 100 and unlock unique “Relic” styles for certain Battle Pass skins.

Week 10’s challenges will have players swimming through the water and swinging pickaxes. Plus, you’ll get the chance to build and destroy some sandcastles.

Each Week 10 challenge grants a sizable 24,000 XP. Completing all seven Week 10 challenges will grant players a whopping 168,000 XP. With just a couple of weeks to go in Chapter 2 - Season 6, every ounce of XP is crucial. Players need to act fast if they aim to collect all of the Primal season’s exclusive cosmetics.

Behind a week or two on challenges? Don’t worry — we have you covered. Check out our Week 9 or Week 8 Challenge Guide if you need help completing any challenges from previous weeks.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 10 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Eliminate a player while swimming (1) - 24,000 XP

An elimination challenge with a twist. Players must get one elimination while actively swimming in one of Fortnite’s bodies of water.

Use the Team Rumble playlist for this challenge. Look for a match where the final circle surrounds a body of water. There are rivers all across the Fortnite island, so this shouldn't be too uncommon of an occurrence.

Once the opportunity arises, head to the appropriate river or lake and go for a swim. Lie in wait like a shark awaiting its prey. The moment you see an enemy player, unleash fire. Make sure you are swimming in the water when the elimination is made.

Deal damage to players within 30 seconds of landing from the Battle Bus (100) - 24,000 XP

This challenge is a hot dropper’s dream. Players must deal 100 total damage to enemies within 30 seconds of landing out of the Battle Bus. This is one of the rare challenges that’s best completed in the standard playlists.

Dropping instantly as the game starts will give you the best chance of encountering players early in the game. Otherwise, choose a popular landing spot like Pleasant Park or Sweaty Sands.

Grab a weapon upon landing and immediately search for enemy players. Deal as much damage as possible before 30 seconds is up. Don’t worry if you can’t reach the 100 damage threshold in one game. Just back out and start another match up. Repeat these steps until the challenge is completed.

Pickaxe elimination (1) - 24,000 XP

A bit of a cheeky challenge, players must eliminate an enemy with a pickaxe

One method of completing this challenge is to simply drop into the action and start swinging. In Team Rumble, players are usually distracted, and you may be able to finish one off with a well-timed pickaxe swing. Alternatively, players can weaken an opponent with a gun and end them with a pickaxe.

Another route players may consider is searching for an away from keyboard (AFK) player. Every game almost always has one or two players that don’t jump out of the Battle Bus. Take advantage of this. Wait until the Bus kicks everyone off and see if any enemy players begin to slowly fall down. Land with these unaware players and pickaxe them to death. As a bonus, any damage dealt during this period will also count toward the challenge listed above.

Build sandcastles (3) - 24,000 XP

Week 10 allows players to unleash their inner child and build some sandcastles. Players can build sandcastles at Rainbow Rentals, an unmarked point of interest (POI) on the beach west of Holly Hedges.

Search the beach of this cosy vacation resort for translucent blue outlines where sandcastles can be built. Interact with an outline to place a sandcastle. Build three total sandcastles to complete this challenge.

Deal damage to descending Supply Drops (1) - 24,000 XP

Throughout a Fortnite match, Supply Drops with high-tier loot will descend from the sky. This event occurs around mid-match and will continue until the end of the game.

Descending Supply Drops give off a noticeable noise and visual effect and are marked on the map. You can wait until they land to grab the loot inside, but there’s also the option of shooting one down early. This challenge asks players to deal 100 damage to a Supply Drop while it’s falling.

While playing normally, keep an eye out for a descending Supply Drop. Once one has been located, unload whatever weapon you have into the sky at it. Supply Drops have 250 health in Solos and can go up to 750 health in Squads. So, 100 damage is a mere scratch in the grand scheme of things.

Destroy opponent structure while driving a modded vehicle (5) - 24,000 XP

Your best bet for this challenge is to land at a Gas Station in the Team Rumble playlist. Gas Stations are everywhere on the map. Some popular POIs with a Gas Station include Lazy Lake, Catty Corner, Pleasant Park, and Sweaty Sands.

Off-Road Tires were recently added to the game as a vehicle mod. As the name suggests, this vehicle attachment will allow your vehicle to perform much better on off-road terrain. Off-Road Tires are commonly found at Gas Stations.

Grab a set of Off-Road Tires and search for a vehicle to attach them to. Once you’ve acquired both, drive toward the action. Smash the vehicle into as many player-built structures as possible. This challenge will complete once the player has destroyed five enemy structures with their souped-up vehicle.

Destroy sandcastles (3) - 24,000 XP

It’s time to take on the bully role. Before, we were building sandcastles. Now, we’re destroying them.

Players can destroy sandcastles at a couple of locations. The first is on the beach south-east of Flush Factory. The second location players can crush sandcastles is on the beach above Craggy Cliffs.

Travel to one of these two locations and search the beach for pre-built sandcastles. Approach one and interact with it to destroy it. You’ll receive 24,000 XP after destroying three sandcastles. Let’s hope the person that built them doesn’t mind!
