Fortnite Season 6 Leaks Suggest AI Will Control Vehicles

It's that time within the season that we're all quite comfortable with the meta, if not a little bit tedious, and are looking towards the future to see how Epic Games can keep churning out engaging content.

For Fortnite Season 6, the developers look set to give the arm wrestle between NPC lovers and haters a bit more fuel to the debate, as it appears that AI (artificial intelligence) will control vehicles.

With the current chapter seeing the implementation of cars, and helicopters and planes already being within the game at certain points, new leaked files suggest that the NPCs could become a whole lot more powerful with the ability to move around the map and roll up on you Grand Theft Auto style.

Dataminer "Mang0e" claims that "some unfinished AI spawner capabilities for vehicles were added in 15.40", which translates to there will be some areas that have been selected to spawn vehicles that can be controlled by NPCs.

The severity of this is yet to be seen. They could merely be bypassers to Retail Row, coming in for a quick shop, fleeing the scene as John Wick glides down with a Lever Action Shotgun in hand.

However, the likelihood is that the AI-controlled vehicles will be deadly, and a squad full of the most hated characters in the game could be set to smack you with a hit-and-run before moving on to their next victims.

The most severe of the possibilities stem from the master AI that Epic have been adding, such as the Mandalorian. We could be set to see a deadly boss roam the skies, dropping nades or sniping from the heavens.

Oh lord, please no.
