We aren't even ready to say goodbye to Coral Castle in Fortnite yet, but apparently, the POI slaughterfest won't end there. A countdown clock has just landed in-game, and alongside Coral Castle's imminent destruction, players are told to look out for two more Fortnite POIs being removed.

It's been an alien invasion in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, and sadly, they aren't the friendly E.T. variety. Alongside the villainous Kymera and their plans of map domination, we've also been locking lasers with the nefarious Doctor Slone and battling the shady Imagined Order.

In typical Fortnite style, we're presumably building toward an end-of-season event, however, rumours suggest a massive location shakeup will arrive before that. Coral Castle and two more key POIs could be ripped from the map forever.

Which Fortnite POIs are being removed?

According to trusted dataminer HYPEX, Coral Castle will be joined by Slurpy Swamp and Corny Complex when all three are abducted from the map. The Season 7 opener saw the mothership abduct The Spire and leave a smouldering crater where it used to sit, so we know the alien HQ has the capabilities to tear these POIs from the map. Is anywhere safe? Would Epic Games do the unthinkable and tear Pleasant Park from our lives?

HYPEX claims that the removed Fortnite POIs will be replaced by no gravity zones like the ones we've seen around Holly Hedges/Hatchery. In terms of why Slurpy and Corny have been chosen, your guess is as good as ours. It's no secret that Coral Castle is a fairly empty drop spot that most players only visit to complete tasks.

Corny Complex is where Doctor Slone is currently hiding out, and considering it has that massive IO base underneath, it's a little easier to see why aliens would want to abduct it. As for Slurpy Swap, it's a mid-tier landing spot that can be a great place to top up your health and shields. The area around is a little barren, and with Slurpy Swamp being around since the start of Chapter 2 with relatively few changes, it was already on the chopping block.

Will more Fortnite POIs be removed before the end of Season 7?

Losing a POI with as much traffic as Corny or as much of a legacy as Slurpy, it's obviously got fans worried that the alien mothership will go on a rampage and tear more loved locales from the surface of Fortnite before the season's credits roll. If more key POIs like Pleasant, Lazy Lake, and Boney Boney Burbs are taken off the map, it's likely everything will go back to normal when the aliens inevitably leave.

If Coral Castle, Slurpy Swamp, and Corny Complex are the only POIs to be abducted, expect them to be gone for good and a whole new trio of locations to be added in Chapter 2 Season 8. The fact that aliens are abducting Fortnite POIs is presumably linked to the upcoming arrival of Superman.

The Man of Steel is destined to come to the battle royale bloodbath at some point in Season 7, but with time running out, it could take the Son of Krypton's alien powers to rid the map of those shifty Kymera. As for Coral Castle, Slurpy Swamp, and Corny Complex, it's time to wave goodbye to these poor POIs - while you still can.
